Shipping & Customs

GENERAL INFORMATION

All shipping prices on this website are fed directly from Royal Mail using an API connection. I don’t make any money from postage but unfortunately, postage is expensive. This requires a few points.

UK SHIPPING

All of my UK-sold items are handmade by myself and many items are quite expensive to make. I much prefer a signed and tracked method of shipping but this is naturally more expensive. If your item is signed and tracked, and it’s late, Royal Mail can track it and missing orders can be replaced sooner. If an item only has signed tracking, items can be replaced by Royal Mail requires a month before any action can be taken.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

This greatly brings down the cost, the quality is high, and reduces carbon emissions. All items are largely sent via flat shipping to bring down costs. International tracked shipping can be purchased and this is more expensive but more secure.

TIME-SENSITIVE SHIPPING

If your item is time-sensitive, for example, you’re travelling on holiday in a week and need your item before you go away, I advise you not to choose the cheaper option. There is no guarantee Royal Mail will deliver your order on time if you choose second-class and I will not be responsible for late deliveries if this postage method is chosen.

 CUSTOMS & IMPORT TAXES

Buyers are responsible for any import taxes or customs that may apply. I will take every care your item arrives with you on time but I cannot be responsible for delays due to customs.

IN SUMMARY

Postage is unfortunately expensive. I try to keep postage costs as low as possible by offering a number of options, and as mentioned I don’t make any money from postage. If you want to receive your item quickly and securely, I recommend choosing a signed and tracked postage method whereas if you want to save money, but are happy to potentially wait longer, then there are options for this.
